تم عرض موضوعات هذا الكتاب بالقدر الذي يتناسب مع طلبة كليات الاقتصاد والتجارة بشكل عام، وطلبة قسم المهن الإدارية والمالية في المعاهد العليا بالجماهيرية الليبية بصفة خاصة. وقد راعى المؤلف أن يشتمل كتابه على عدد من الأمثلة والإيضاحات التي تعين الطالب على فهم الموضوع بسهولة ويسر قدر الإمكان.
وبناء على ما تقدم، ومن أجل أن يحقق الكتاب الهدف من تأليفه فقد قسم إلى خمسة فصول، يعرض الفصل الأول تعاريف أساسية لبعض المفاهيم الخاصة بمادة الرياضة المالية وكذلك حسابات الفائدة البسيطة، كما يقدم الفصل الثاني قانون الجملة بفائدة بسيطة وتطبيقاته العملية، وقد كرس الفصل الثالث لدراسة القيمة الحالية والخصم، في حين تناول الفصل الرابع الدفعات المؤكدة المتساوية-تسوية واستبدال الديون، ليتوقف المؤلف في فصله الأخير عند موضوع الفوائد المركبة.
ويعد هذا الكتاب مساهمة تضيف بحق إلى المكتبة الاقتصادية العربية بحثاً واسعاً في مكافأة استخدام رأس المال (الفائدة).
