عبد الغني بن إسماعيل بن عبد الغني النابلسي الدمشقي الحنفي (1050 هـ - 1143 هـ / 1641 - 1731م) شاعر شامي وعالم بالدين والأدب ورحالة مكثر من التصنيف. ولد ونشأ وتصوف في دمشق. قضى سبع سنوات من عمره في دراسة كتابات "التجارب الروحيّة" لِفُقهاء الصوفية. وقد تعدّدت رحلاته عبر العالم الإسلامي، إلى إسطنبول ولبنان والقدس وفلسطين ومصر والجزيرة العربية وطرابلس وباقي البلاد السورية. استقر في مدينته دمشق وتوفي فيها.

الأسماء الحسنى هي مجال الذكر والدعاء، هي ديون الذاكرين لا لأنها ذكر الله بذكر أسمائه الكريمة فحسب، بل لأنها مع ذلك تتضمن الدعاء والرجاء بما تحمله هذه الأسماء من معان سامية اختص الله بها، وأخفى الكثير منها على بعض خلقه.
وكتاب "منظومة أسماء الله الحسنى" هي من منظومات العارف بالله الإمام الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي، وهي من المخطوطات النادرة. وقد كان عمل المحقق في هذا المخطوط كالتالي: تثبيت كل سطر من المنظومة على حدة، مع شرح اسم الله الذي ورد في هذا السطر، إيراد ما نظمه العلماء والأدباء في اسم الله من أشعارهم وقصائدهم ومنظوماتهم أمثال الشيخ محيي الدين بن العربي والإمام أحمد بن محمد الدردير، والشاعر محمد عبد الله القولي والشاعر أحمد مخيمر، والعديد من رجال الصوفية وغيرهم، تثبيت المنظومة كاملة في آخر الكتاب، مع شرح بعض المفردات. وقد قام المحقق بإضافة دراسة شيقة حول حروف الجمل، وأسماء الله الحسنى مع ذكر عدد كل حرف واسم وعدد وروده في القرآن الكريم.
