دعامات اللغة العربية هي: النحو-والصرف-والإملاء-والقراءة. ويأتي كمحصلة ونتيجة لما تقدم ما يسمى بـ "الإنشاء أو التعبير". وكتب النحو كثيرة، وعناوين مباحث النحو لم تتغير، فحديثها كقديمها، لكن الأسلوب يجب أن يتغير لأن لكل عصر ما يناسبه، فالمادة العلمية في النحو متوفرة في كتاب سيبويه، ومغني الليبي، وقطر الندى، وألفية ابن مالك وشرحها... الخ.
لكن الأسلوب بعيد عن متطلبات عصرنا، فلنعمل في إيجاد الأسلوب المناسب. أما الصرف فقد جاء في ثنايا هذه الكتب بأسلوبه المعقد وأما من كتبه مستقلاً من المحدثين فقد عقده أكثر، وعلى رأس هؤلاء كتاب "شذا العرف في فن الصرف".
ولما كان الصرف ضرورياً وبخاصة لمن أراد التخصص وجب علينا أن نكتبه بالأسلوب المدرسي الجديد ليكون سهل الدراسة والتدريس وهذا ما دعانا لإخراج هذا لكتاب. ومثله إن لم يكن هو الأمم معرفة القواعد الإملائية، وهذا ما ستجده مبسطاً في هذا الكتاب، مختصراً ومغنياً. وعلى الطالب بعد ذلك أن يخرج بنتيجة يستطيع فيها أن يعتمد على نفسه بعد أن تعلم وناقش وفهم وطالع، فيكتب المواضيع التي يريدها، وبخاصة إلهام منها والتي لا يستغني عنها في حياته. وهذا الكتاب يحقق لك كل ما تقدم ضمن اختصاصه.
