هذا الكتاب قراءة متأنية لظاهرة فوضى الفتاوي في العالم الإسلامي عموماً منذ عهد الأولين مرورا بالمتأخرين وصولاً إلى المعاصرين.
ما بين صفحات الكتاب نجد أننا أمام نمطين متعاكسين من التفكير الإنساني الذي باتت الأنسنة، والإنسان ما فوق الحداثة، لحمته ومداه أي بتعبير آخر فقه الإحياء مقابل فقه الأماتة، ولكن أي نظام فكري إسلامي سيولد في ظل هذه الإشكالية.
ما يريد أن يقوله الكاتب هو أن الإنسان المسلم يجب أن يكون في موقع التفكر والتدبر، وعدم الإنحياز وراء التشدد والتطرف في القول والرأي لأن رجل الدين مسؤول أمام الله وأمام المجتمع في كل ما يصدر عنه من فتوى.
يقول الكاتب عن مؤلفه هذا "أنا لم أسخر ولا أسخر من الفتاوى بقدر ما أبين للقارىء معنى الفتوى وتنوعها" ويضيف "هو محاولة لجمع غرائب وطرائف الفتاوى من خلال معاصرين وكون الفتوى تمارس علي كشخص، وأطالب بتنفيذها مع أن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: "استفت قلبك ولو أفتوك، ولا أعتقد أننا بحاجة لكثرة المفتين".
يقدم الكتاب في عدد من فصوله نماذج عديدة وغريبة جاء أبرزها فتاوى "لبس السنتيان، إمامة شارب الدخان، لبس النساء للكعب العالي، تحريم الشاي والقهوة، شرب البيبسي، تحريم كرة القدم، تحريم الكاريكاتير ... الخ. كما تحدث في الفصل السادس عن تداعيات ومقالات عن فتاوى شهيرة مثل "إجازة زواج الوناسة" تحريم لبس النقاب، تكفير الكاتب عبد الله بن بجاد وزميله يوسف أبا الخيل ثم ختم هذا الفصل بأغرب فتاوى عام 2009 وفي الفصل الأخير أورد منثورات من فتاوى إبن تيمية.
كتاب هام، ينبش التراث ليقول لقارئه أن أزمة الفتاوى، تدل على الهوة العميقة بين الإطار النظري للمجتمع الإسلامي وبين واقعه المعاش، وهذا ما يجعل فوضى في الفتاوى...
