تسعى هذه المحاولة المتواضعة إلى عرض الظواهر اللغوية في قراءة الحسن البصري (21- 110هــ) وتقريرها، وهي لا تدّعي لنفسها القدرة على تفسير هذه الظواهر جميعاً أو بيان روافدها، كما لا تدّعي لنفسها أيضاً القدرة على التوفيق بين ما يبدو - في ظواهره - متعارضاً منها.
وقد توسلت إلى بلوغ هدفها بمنهج إستقرائي وصفي، يربط - ما وسعه ذلك - بين القراءة وظواهر النطق اللهجي، أو بينها وبين مقتضيات النظام الصوتي وضروراته، وقد يكون من نتائج هذه المحاولة وهذا النهج وقوف القارئ على صورة لنظام لغوي مغايرة في بعض ملامحها لما ألفناه من مواضعات وسنن لغوية وهي صورة حاولت كتب النحويين عن عمد أو غير عمد تجاهلها وإغفالها.
وقد حرصنا على أن ندرج في سياق قراءة الحسن أسماء الذين شاركوه قراءته أو شاركهم قراءتهم، ليكون ذلك بياناً لشيوع الظاهرة في أوساط ناس من القرّاء في بيئات مختلفة ممّا قد يفيد منه بعض الدراسيين في تتبع الظواهر اللغوية.
