نشاته
ولد في مدينة حماة، نشأ في أسرة متديّنة، يتيماً فقيراً، فكان يشتغل في مهنة الخياطة نهاراً، ويدرس على العلماء في المساجد ليلاً.
تعلمه
وحبّب الله إليه طلب العلم فكان لا يقتصر على الكتب المدرسية المقرّرة بل يُقبل بشغف عظيم على كتب العلم يحلّ عويصها، ويتمثّل معارفها،

Book Description
ولد الشيخ محمد الحامد. مصنف "هذه الرسائل" في مدينة حماه-سورية عام 1910 في بيت من بيوت العلم والأدب، كان والده الشيخ محمود الحامد وهو من علماء المدينة البارزين أما والدته فتنسب إلى بيت اشتهر بالعلم والشعر والبلاغة. كان رحمه الله يجمع مع العلم الغزير تقوى الله وخشيته، والوقوف عند حدوده، فكان عالماً ربانياً إسلامي القول والسلوك، يبلغ الحق بالحكمة في سعة صور،ورجاحة عقل، وعفة المؤمن، وشفقة العالم. لم يترك مناسبة إسلامية أو وطنية أو اجتماعية إلا كان إماماً فيها مكافئ مجاهداً مرشداً، كما وعرف عنه بالموهبة بالحديث، وبالبلاغة بالشعر والفصاحة في إلقاء الخطب على مسامع طلابه في حلقات الفكر والذكر والعلم التي كان يعقدها يومياً ليعظهم بها.
وهذا الكتاب الذي بين ايدينا يضم بعضاً من خطبه ودروسه التي كان يلقيها على طلابه في مجالس العلم والوعظ وهي بمجموعها تدور حول تكريم المرأة ورفع قدرها والرفق بها والأخذ بيدها وإقصاء الشر عنها، وتتصل بالنكاح الشريف ترغيباً فيه وتيسيراً لسبيله على طالبية، وتوضيح ما يجب أن يراعى في اختيار الأزواج من الجنسين، وتكشف كما جهله الناس من حقوق كل من الزوجين على الآخر، وتدرأ عادية المتعصبين على الإسلام في إباحة تعدد الزوجات مقيداً بالعدالة وتكشف عن إفكهم المفترى وتعنتهم ضد شرع الله الحكيم في تعدد الزوجات لفوائد كبرى تجتنيها البشرية من هذا التعدد مهما كان بحق.
