مشت في الناس شائعة جديدة تدعو إلى نكاح المتعة، ومن المعلوم أن المستقر في نكاح المتعة هو التحريم لدى العلماء من السلف والخلف إلا فئة ضئيلة ترى حله وتصر عليه، لكن بعضًا من الناس قاموا في زماننا هذا يثيرون موضوعه من جديد ويبعثونه من رقاده الذي استمر دهرًا طويلًا وقد جهلوا أنه في ذاته فاحشة كما تقضي بذلك الأدلة القوية المتضافرة والمتظاهرة على نسخه بعد أن كان مباحًا في صدر الإسلام للضرورة القصوى التي اقتضته وقتئذ، والعمـل بالمنسـوخ لا يجوز، والمصير إلى الناسخ هو المعتبر المعتد به في شرع اللـه ودينه.
