كثيراً ما يلجأ الناقد العربي إلى آلية الإسقاط البسيطة من الثقافة الأجنبية إلى اللغة العربية، وهذا بالطبع يؤدي إلى خلل وظيفي خطير في النظرية، لأن الناقد العربي لا يتوافر على شروط تثقيف النظرية في المحضن العربي، إذ يتصور أن فعل الترجمة إنما يتقوّم أساساً من النقل الحرفي متناسياً طرق العرب في أرضنة مصطلحاتها.
لذلك، تحاول هذه الدراسة أن تبني لها مكاناً في ظل الطروحات الجديدة لأمرين أساسيين: أولهما؛ أنه لم يسبق لباحث أو لناقد عربي أن تعرض لنظرية البروكسيميا في شكل كتاب متكامل، أو يعرض للنظرية مصطلحاً وممارسة.
وثانيهما؛ أن هذه الدراسة تأتي فعلاً لسد هذا النقص الفادح في تقديم هذه النظرية للقارئ العربي، ولكنه تقديم يزعم إستيعاب هذا الإطار العام للتفريع السيميائي الذي انتقل تفاعلاً من تأثير المدرسة السيميائية الفرنسية على السيميائيات المعاصرة بما فيها المصب الأمريكي الذي نعرض له في هذا البحث مع ممثله "إدواردهال".
ولم نكتفِ هنا بعرض النظرية في جزئية "الفضاء يتكلم" فحسب، وإنما قمنا ببيان بعض المنظورات السردية من وجهة سردية، وتقديم نصوص بحثية بين أيدي القراء ليتعرفوا على كيفيات التحليل للتداخلات المواقعية التي عادة ما تنشأ عن الوضعيات التي يتخذها المتخاطبون.
