حاولنا في كتابنا هذا دراسة الفلسفة النيتشوية بوصفها محاولة لنقد مركزيات وميتافيزيقيات الفلسفة التأملية بدءاً من اليونانية وصولاً إلى الفلسفة الحديثة، غير متجاوزين بطبيعة الحال الفكر الديني واللاهوتي الذي يلتقي مع الميتافيزيقا بكونه فكراً منفصلاً عن مقتضيات الواقع وعن حاجة الإنسان للإختلاف، كون المبحثان (الميتافيزيقي والديني) يناقضان الطبيعة الإنسانية - عند نيتشه - لأنهما فكران يبحثان عن المطابقة والمشابهة والمماثلة، التي تتعارض مع طبيعة التكوين الإنساني الباحث عن حقيقته الخاصة، لا عن الحقيقة المطلقة.
هذا النقد النيتشوي ينسحب بدوره على الفكر الأخلاقي المطلق الذي يتنافى مع المبادئ التي قامت عليها الفلسفة النيتشوية مثل التطور والصيرورة والإختلاف، لذلك جاءت هذه الدراسة لتوضيح النقد النيتشوي للميتافيزيقا، وأهمية هذا الموضوع في التأسيس لفلسفة جديدة قائمة على التقاطع مع فلسفات ما قبل نيتشه، وبناء فكر يحمل في طياته النسبية والتغير، يقوم على إمكانية تمثل العالم الطبيعي وإستنهاض الإنسان بوصفه صانعاً للقيم، وإحلاله محل الإرادة المتعالية التي شكّلت ميتافيزيقا الفلسفات ما قبل نيتشه.
