إنها دراسة لمجموعة مفاهيم صاغها تجريبيو المسرح الغربي، مستنيرين بما تبلور من نقاشات فلسفية حول الإشكالات الحضارية للقرن العشرين، أمثال جيرزي غروتوفسكي وأنطونان أرطو وأوجينيو باربا، إنطلاقاً من كشوفات الأنثروبولوجيا الثورية أو المستقبلية المؤمنة بمبدأ "نسبوية الثقافات".
كما أنها خلاصة إنفتاح البحث التجريبي المسرحي الغربي عن ثقافات خارج أوروبا، وذلك لما تحرر من عقدة "تقديس النموذج الأوروبي"، نذكر منها على سبيل المثال مفهوم التمسرح Théâtralité القائم على إعداد الممثل وتأهيله جسدياً وإنفعالياً وتخييلياً لينقل إحساسه إلى المتفرج، إنه يضحي بجسده جهاراً، فيبلغ بذلك نوعاً من "العبرنورانية" Translumination تقربه من القداسة، وبالتالي، يتحقق ما سماه غروتوفسكي ومشايعوه بـ"إعادة تقديس المسرح" Re-sacralisation du théâtre، ونذكر مفاهيم أخرى وظفها أوجينيو باربا مثل "الماقبل - تعبيرية" Pré-expressivité، والحضور Présence، والتداريب Training، كما نستحضر-في هذا السياق - مفهوم "الجذبة" Transe الذي اعتمده أنطونان أرطو في شعريته المسرحية.
