ألقى مئات المحاضرات عن التدخين، والخمور، والمخدرات والأمراض الجنسية والإيدز والإعجاز الطبي في القرآن .. إلخ في العديد من الجامعات والأندية والمدارس كماشارك في أبحاث هيئة الإعجاز العلمي ومؤتمراتها

"الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا ـ العدوى بين الطب وحديث المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لمؤلفه محمد علي البار المتخصِّص في الأمراض الباطنية؛ من أمتع الكتب التي اطلعنا عليها في موضوع العلاقة بين الإسلام والعلم في دائرة خاصة من دوائر العلم وهي الطب الحديث، بل في دائرة أخص وهي الأمراض المعْدِية.
والكتاب يستند إلى أحدث البحوث العلمية في المجال الذي تعرّض له، ويستند أيضاً إلى أوثق مصادر التراث الإسلامي التي تعرّضت لما جاء في الحديث النبوي الشريف عن العدوى.
والأمر الذي لا شك فيه أن مؤلف الكتاب أحاط علماً بموضوعه في الجانبين: العلمي والإسلامي، ووصل بنظرته العميقة إلى رؤية واضحة لا تجد فيها أدنى اختلاف بين العلم الصحيح والنص الصريح. والرؤية التي عرضها الكاتب تبين في جلاء معجزة الإسلام العلمية، حيث تبين أن الأمر فيه لم يقتصر على مجرد براءة الإسلام من الوقوع في أخطاء علمية لا ينجو من الوقوع فيها البشر ـ وهذا في حد ذاته إعجاز باهر اعترف به بعض المستشرقين ـ وإنما يتعدى ذلك إلى إقرار حقائق علمية طبية لم يتوصل إليها الإنسان بعلمه إلَّا في العصر الحديث، ومن هذه الحقائق: العدوى وآثارها وحدودها…".
