بين يدك كتاب يعد من أهم ما صنف في أصول الدين من حيث حسن الجمع، ودقة الحصر، وبلاغة الشمول، لإمام جمع بين أصول الدين وأصول الفقه وعلم الكلام، فكان مدرسة خاصة تدرس فيها أكابر العلماء ونوابع الفضلاء، وهو بحق سيف الدين الآحدي. وبالعودة لمضمون الكتاب نجد أنه جاء مشتملاً على ثمانية قوانين تتضمن عدة مسائل والقوانين هي: إثبات الواجب بذاته، إثبات الصفات في النظر في الصفات النفسية، في إثبات صفة الإرادة، في وحدانية الباري، في إبطال التشبيه وما يجوز عليه وما لا يجوز، في أفعال واجب الوجود، في المعاد وبيان ما يتعلق بحشر الأنفس والأجساد، في النبوات والأفعال الخارقة للعادات، في الإمامة وما يتعلق بها وفي معتقد أهل السنة في الصحابة وإمامة الخلفاء الراشدين والأئمة المهديين.
كتاب مهم جداً يعد من أهم ما صنف في أصول الدين، فقد امتاز بحسن الجمع ودقة الحصر وبلاغة الشمول وسهولة العبارة ولا عجب في ذلك فمؤلفه الإمام الآمدي من نوابغ العلماء وأكابرهم.
