بعد اكتمال بناء الجدار سيكون اهل ضواحي القدس امام خيارين أحلاهما مر: اما ان يبقوا في اماكنهم وبالتالي حرمانهم من الخدمات الصحية والاجتماعية والتعليمية وغيرها في القدس.واما ان ينزحوا الى داخل القدس، وهذا ما يفرض عليهم ترك بيوتهم وممتلكاتهم وارزاقهم في اماكن اقامتهم في الضواحي. أما الخيار الثالث والذي تحبذه سلطات الاحتلال فهو هجرة هؤلاء السكان من اماكنهم الى اماكن بعيدة عن ضواحي القدس التي هي جزء من القدس، حتى لا يشكلوا حزاما آمنا لها. ويخلوا للاحتلال وجه القدس.
