معلوم أن الصلاة على الحبيب المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم شفاء للقلوب، وماحية للذنوب، ومفرّجةٌ للكروب، كيف لا وقد صلى عليه ربنا تبارك وتعالى وملائكته الكرام، وأمرنا بذلك تنبيهاً لرفعة هذا المقام، وعظيم فضل هذا النبيِّ عليه الصلاة والسلام؟!...
فمن اتبع هذا الأمر حلَّق بالصلاة عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أعلى مراتب الكمال، ومن أعرض عنه وهجره - والعياذ بالله - تردّى في طرق الغيّ والضلال.
وقد ألف العلماء رضي الله عنهم - قديماً وحديثاً - كتباً في فضل الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، مشيدين بأنوارها وأسراها، ومبينين مرتبتها وثمراتها، فبين مقلٍّ ومكثر، وباسط ومختصر، ولكلٍّ وجهة هو موليها.
وقد رأيت أن أجمع من هذه الكتب الطِّوال بعضاً من هذه الفوائد والثمرات والأسرار المبينة في الكتاب والسنة، وأقوال العلماء والصالحين والأئمة، وأقدمها لكلِّ مسلم محببٍّ للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وسميتها (الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فوائدها وأسرارها) فالمصلي عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم يزداد بها تمسكاً والمعرض عنها يعلم فضلها وبركتها، وما فاته من الخير العظيم بسبب تركه لها، فيرجع ويتمسك بأذيالها، وينهل من أنوارها وأسرارها.
