خمسة وعشرون ليلة بعد الألف يقترحها الشاعر والناقد العراقي "علي حسن الفواز" في كتابه المعنون "وجه ضائع في المرايا" وعلى صفحاته نسمات من مأثور السرد العربي يطلقها لشاعرنا لنقرأ قصة شهرزاد أخرى غير التي نعرفها يحاورها في قصائد نثرية جميلة وساحرة نهيم في ربوعها، لنشهد اعترافات شهريار بخطيئته؛ ليعترف أن شهرزاد "وحدها كانت تناولني الجسد والكلام دفعة واحدة ... شهرزادي الأخيرة تسللت إلى خطيئة انكساري خطيئة جسدي ..."، وفي شهرزاد الليلة الخامسة والعشرين يعترف شهريار الرجل بأنه لا شيء دونها، يقول "يا شهرزادي وحيد أنا دوني، دون عرش الكلام الذي يبادلني أوهامي، وحيد أنا عند حائط السيوف وبكاء الديكة. لم يعد الكلام المباح، ولم يعد الليل يمط ساعاته كلما أدركني الصباح. ماذا أفعل بالتاج وقد أضعت الطريق إليك؟ (...)".
هذا العمل هو تجربة أدبية رائدة وقراءة حداثوية لمأثور السرد العربي ومنجزه الشعري، صاغه شاعرنا في قالب جديد أحيا فيه شهرزاد وبث فيها الروح من جديد ليرى فيها مثالاً متجوهراً للروح الحية التي صنعت الكثير من الأسئلة، أسئلة ما يبرح الرجل يسأل نفسه في كل عصر، وفي كل مكان هل هو بحاجة إلى شهرزاد؟!.
