يتناول هذا الكتاب بأجزائه الثلاثة الصهيونية في مئة عام، وإسرائيل في خمسين ويتمحور حول الإجابة على السؤال المركزي: لماذا حصل ما حصل بعد قرن من الصراع العربي –الصهيوني؟ لماذا أفلحت الحركة الصهيونية في تحقيق ما حققته، وأخفقت الحركة القومية العربية في تجسيد الشعارات التي رفعتها؟ وكان القصد الرئيسي من هذا المشروع التأسيسي لوعي علمي سليم لطبيعة هذا الصراع، ونقد موضوعي ذاتي لإدارته، على اعتبار أن العمل العربي على هذا الصعيد ظل يعاني من خلل في هاتين الركيزنين...
يقع الكتاب في ثلاثة أجزاء: يتضمن الجزء الأول مقدمة نظرية حول طبيعة هذا المشروع ومرتكزات أمنه الإستراتيجي. وفصلين من أصل ثمانية، يعالج الفصل الأول وهو بعنوان "تهوية فلسطين" في ثلاثة أبواب: "تهويد السكان"، "تهويد الأرض"، و"تهويد السوق". ويتناول الفصل الثاني "العمل الصهيوني في التطبيق" سياسات إسرائيل الداخلية والخارجية، ويعرض علاقاتها الدولية.
ويتضمن الجزء الثالث ثلاثة فصول هي الفصل الثالث وعنوانه: "البلد الأم الإمبريالي"، الذي يتتبع علاقات النشاط الصهيوني بالدول العظمى، وصولاً إلى "التعاون الإستراتيجي" مع الولايات المتحدة الأميركية. ويتناول الفصل الرابع: "دور الثكنة الوظيفي"، حروب إسرائيل العدوانية ضد الأمة العربية، وصلتها بالمصالح الإمبريالية في المنطقة. كما يقدم الفصل الخامس: "المؤسسة المدنية الإسرائيلية"، مسألة نظام الحكم والأحزاب السياسية في إسرائيل، وقضية " الدين والدولة" فيها. ويتتبع الفصل السابع: "العمل الصهيوني والتسوية"، رفض الوكالة اليهودية، ومن بعدها إسرائيل، واحباطهما جميع المشاريع التي طرحت لتسوية الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي على مدى القرن العشرين. أما الفصل الثامن فيتناول "أزمة المشروع الصهيوني" ويدرس التناقضات البنيوية والسياسية في العمل الصهيوني، فكراً وممارسة...
