الرسائل المُتَبادلة بين الدكتور داهش والدكتور محمَّد حسين هيكل في صيف 1951 أَمَّ لبنانَ الأديبُ المصريُّ الكبير الدكتور محمَّد حسين هيكل، رئيسُ مجلس الشيوخ المصريِّ السابق وصاحبُ جريدتَي "السياسة الأُسبوعيَّة" و"السياسة اليوميَّة" المصريَّتَين، فتناهَتْ إليه أنباءُ الاضطهاد الجائر الذي تعرَّض له الدكتور داهش على يد رئيس الجمهوريَّة اللبنانيَّة آنذاك، بشاره الخوري، فكتب إلى الشاعر حليم دمُّوس يُبدي له رغبته في المعاونة على رفع الظلم. وقد كانت رسالتُه إلى الشاعر اللبنانيِّ فاتحةَ رسائل متبادلة بينه وبين مؤسِّس الداهشيَّة المجرَّد ظُلمًا من جنسيَّته اللبنانيَّة المحتجِب قَسْرًا عن الناس. أبرز ما في رسائل الدكتور داهش كلامه على أسباب الاضطهاد ومراحله "القانونيَّة" والتعسُّفيَّة، وعزمه على استرداد حقِّه. وأبرز ما في رسائل الدكتور هيكل رأيُه أنَّ التجريد من الجنسيَّة أرهب من الإعدام، واعتزامه أن يُثيرَ القضيَّة في الصحافة المصريَّة على نحو ما صَنعَ فولتير في قضيَّة كالا الشهيرة
