في الحيز الصغير الذي بقي لي.. قررت أن أهرب من الكون إلى الكون ومن الحياة إلى الحياة وكنت أقصد أن أدخل بعض المتعة والتسلية إلى قارئ هذا الكتاب ما استطعت إلى ذلك سبيلاً حتى ولو كان ذلك على حساب الولوج في السياسة الجادة التي تناولتها بعض المقالات في بعض هذا الكتاب... ولأننا نحب هذا الكتاب الرهيب المرعب فإننا لا نستطيع إلا أن نذكر محاسنه، ومن محاسنه.. كرتنا الأرضية.. ومن محاسنها مخلوقاتها وأماكنها.. ومن الأماكن بقاع حباها الله بطبيعة خلابة أخاذة ساقتني الصدفة وقادني الحظ إلى مشاهدتها والاستمتاع بجمالها فنقلت للقارئ بإيجاز شديد بعض الوصف المتعلق بطبيعتها وطبيعة شعوبها.
وهكذا فإن الكتاب احتوى على فصل تضمن سرداً للأسماء والأماكن بعنوان إلى الأمازون وفصلاً آخر تضمن بعض التعليقات الساخرة أدبياً واجتماعياً والفصل الأخير تضمن بعض المقالات التي نشرت سابقاً.
