يصف عرفان نظام الدين كتابه بقوله: هذا الكتاب ليس ديوان شعر بل هو نتاج قصائد منثورة في قلوب آمنت بالحب وإختارت طريق الوجدانيات لتسير"عكس السير" وتسبح ضد التيار في عالم اليوم(...). إنها قصائد وجدانية تطلق آهات الحب وتحمل لواء العودة للرومانسية بكل ما فيها من جمال وروعة وغشباع روحي وراحة نفسية رغم كل ما في العشق من عذاب وأشواق وسهر متاعب(...)".
يضم الكتاب ثلاثة وعشرون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من العناوين: "لمن الخلجات"، "الحي هو؟"، "صعب أن أنساك"، "كل عام وأنت عيدي"، "الحب والحياة"....إلخ.
