Book Description
يعتبر آلدو روسّي (1931- 1997) من أهم المعماريين في أوروبا والعالم وقد لعب دوراً مهماً في تطوّر الحركة المعمارية التي عرفت بتيار "العقلانية الجديدة" في إيطاليا في الستينات والسبعينات من القرن الماضي؛ إضافة إلى نشاطاته ومشاريعه العديدة في مجال العمارة.
شارك روسّي في التعليم في أهم الكليّات المعمارية في العالم مثل ميلانو، زوريخ، البندقية، هارفرد وكرانبروك، وقد حاز على جوائز عدة ومنها جائزة البريتزكر للعمارة في العالم 1990، جائزة النقابة الأميركية للمعماريين في العام 1991 وجائزة جيفرسون في العام 1992.
ترك روسّي مجموعة كبيرة من الأعمال المعمارية من منازل خاصة إلى مشاريع السكن الإجتماعية في إيطاليا وألمانيا، ومشاريع لأبنية حكومية وثقافية وأبرزها مسرح كارلو فيليشي في جنوا، مسرح العالم في البندقية، جامعة كارلو كاتانيو، متحف بونفاتن في ماسترشت والمجمّع السكني في شوتزنشراس في برلين، كذلك شارك روسّي في العديد من المسابقات والمشاريع المعمارية ومنها مشروع قصر السينما في البندقية ومشروع متحف التاريخ الألماني في برلين.
ترك روسّي مجموعة كبيرة من الرسمات واللوحات التي أعطاها أهمية كبرى في نشاطه المعماري، من مؤلفاته "عمارة المدينة" (1966) و"السيرة الذاتية العلمية" (1981)، إضافة إلى العديد من المقالات عن العمارة التاريخية والعمارة المعاصرة.
