هذا كتاب "الأذكار المنتخبية من كلام سيد الأبرار" لمؤلفه أبي زكريا يحيى ين شرف الدين النووي الشافعي المولود سنة (631- والمتوفى سنة 676هـ) أشهر فقهاء السنة ومحدثيهم الذي عليه اعتمد الشافعية في ضبط مذهبهم. وفي هذا العمل يجمع "محمد عيد درويش" الأحاديث النبوية في عمل اليوم والليلة والدعوات والأذكار المنسوبة للشافعي مختصراً مقاصد العارفين، مبيناً درجة كل حديث. هادفاً إلى تزويد المؤمنين بمعرفة الأذكار والعمل بها، وإيضاح مظانها للمسترشدين، مزوداً عمله بجملة من النفائس من علم الحديث، ودقائق الفقه مقتصراً في تحقيقه على الأحاديث التي في الكتب المشهورة التي هي أصول الإسلام وهي خمسة: صحيح البخاري، وصحيح مسلم، وسنن أبي داوود والترمذي، والنسائي. يقول "محمد عبد درويش" عن عمله هذا "...قد من الله الكريم فيه بما هو أهل من الفوائد النفسية والدقائق اللطيفة من أنواع العلوم ومهماتها، ومستجادات الحقائق ومطلوباتها، ومن تفسير آياتٍ من القرآن العزيز وبيان المراد بها، والأحاديث الصحيحة وإيضاح مقاصدها، وبيان نكتٍ من علوم الأسانيد ودقائق الفقه ومعاملات القلوب وغيرها، والله المحمود على ذلك(...)".
محتويات الكتاب: يضم الكتاب فصول وأبواب متعددة وكتب أهمها: "كتاب تلاوة القرآن"، "كتاب حمد الله تعالى"، "كتاب الصلاة على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، "كتاب أذكار المرض والموت وما يتعلق بهما"، "كتاب الأذكار في صلوات مخصوصة"، "كتاب أذكار الصيام"، "كتاب أذكار الحج"، "كتاب أذكار الجهاد"، "كتاب أذكار السفر"، "كتاب أذكار الأكل والشرب"، "كتاب أذكار النكاح وما يتعلق به"، "كتاب الأسماء"، "كتاب الأذكار المتفرقة"، "كتاب حفظ اللسان"، "كتاب جامع الدعوات"، وأخيراً "كتاب الإستغفار".
