(الجامع) عمل موسوعي يتألف من أربعة أجزاء يشمل أعلام المهاجرين المنتسبين إلى اليمن وقبائلهم، ويعدَ من كتب التراجم الهامة التي توضح أثر المهاجرين اليمنيين في نشر الحضارة العربية والإسلامية بخاصة مستقلين عن غيرهم من العرب.
يضم الكتاب تراجم موجزة لعدة آلاف من اعلام المهاجرين اليمنيين وأحفادهم وقبائلهم وبطون وأفخاد وفروع تلك القبائل. وقد رتبت أسماء الإعلام والقبائل في الكتاب على ترتيب حروف الهجاء ليسهل الرجوع إليهم لدى الدارسين. كذلك يورد مؤلف الكتاب مؤلفات أولئك الآعلام التي ترجمت إلى اللغات الأجنبية، وكذا الدراسات التي وضعت عن العديد منهم، مع ضبط الأسماء الغريبة للأشخاص والأماكن والمؤلفات والقبائل والبطون والفروع الواردة ضمناً في هذا العمل.
ومن بين أعلام هذا الكتاب: الإمام البخاري، وأبي العلاء المعري، وأبي عمر الكندي المصري، وابن هانئ الأندلسي، أبي حاتم السجستاني، وابن حجر العسقلاني وأبي عبد الله القرطبي، وأبي القاسم القمي وآخرون هم من المهاجرين اليمنيين الذين اشتهروا في أقطار عربية وغير عربية ولدوا فيها وعاشوا واشتهروا. وهذا إن دل على شيء فإنما يدل على مساهمة المهاجرين اليمنيين في صنع الحضارة الإنسانية.
