أضع بين أيديكم هذا الكتاب الذي يلخص سنوات خبرتي في عدد من المؤسسات الإعلامية، بدءاً من تلفزيون الشبكة الوطنية للإرسال NBN، وصولاً إلى قناة الجزيرة الفضائية، إلى حين إستقالتي منها ومجموعة من الزميلات، في 25 آيار 2010.
لم أكن على دراية بحجم الصعوبات التي ستواجهني، والعبارة الوحيدة التي لطالما ترددتْ على مسامعي، هي أن "الصحافة مهنةُ المتاعب"، عبارةٌ أدركتُ معناها الحقيقي، لاحقاً.
خضتُ غمار هذه التجربة على مدى ثلاث عشرة سنة، وفي رأسي الكثير من الأحلام التي تحقق بعضها، فيما تكسرّ البعض الآخر على صخرة "المحسوبيات" والأهواء الشخصية لهذا الفرد أو ذاك.
في الكتاب، كلامٌ عن الطفولة والعائلة، والظروف التي نشأتُ فيها، وشكلتْ جزءاً كبيراً من شخصيتي وتفكيري، وحديث عن الحرب، سواء من خلال التغطية الإعلامية، أو من خلال المشاهدات والوقائع التي عايشتُها، بعيداً من الشاشة.
في الكتاب أيضاً العديد من التفاصيل والحيثيّات، التي أردتُ من خلالها توضيحَ ظروف وملابسات الإستقالة من قناة الجزيرة، والكثير مما جرى خلف الكواليس!...
