والهدف من النزعة الإنسانية وحاجتنا إليها لا يعني وصفها فقط أو التعبير عنه بطريقة دفاعية أو تبريرية، وإنما بقصد أن تتحول إلى سلوك أخلاقي وقيمي، تتمثل فيها قيم التسامح، ونبذ العنف، وعدم الكراهية، والمساواة بين الناس، وإحترام الإنسان بما هو إنسان، بغض النظر عن لونه ودينه ومذهبه، وهذا ما تسعى إليه الثقافات الإنسانية في نظرتها للإنسان بوصفه إنساناً له حقوقٌ وعليه واجبات.
