نظراً لما قدمته فلسفته السياسية من إغناء إلى الماركسية، حيث لا يمكن فصل جهد تروتسكي النظري من مجمل النظرية الفلسفية الماركسية كونه جزءاً منها، إذ لم يكن هو التعبير الأكثر صفاء لها كونه الوريث الشرعي لماركس وآنجلز، كون السياسية هي المنقذ الوحيد لتحسين وضع الإنسانية والإرتقاء نحو الأعلى والتخلص من العبودية والإستغلال، إذ سنحاول تقديم رؤية جديدة للماركسية من خلال ما أنجزه وقدمه تروتسكي في فلسفته السياسية، فهو من أعاد الإعتبار إليها بعدما شوهها ستالين، كما سنبين أفكار تروتسكي النظرية والعملية في فلسفته السياسية، كون تروتسكي تعرض للإضطهاد والإستبعاد لسنوات طويلة بأمر ستالين، إذ أخفى ستالين جميع مؤلفاته ونفيه وقتله، وهو الأمر الذي دعانا لبحث والكتابة عنه، على الرغم من أن الخوض في مثل هذا النوع من الأبحاث سيواجه بعض التحديات، كالحصول على أعمال تروتسكي المترجمة إلى العربية، كونها شبه نادرة.
