حاولت هذه الرواية أن تستعيد (دار الندوة) القرشية برمزيتها التاريخية التي تعني المواجهة والحرب مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، وأن تبين أن هذه الدار لم تهدم بعد.. وأنه كان لها وجود على مدار التاريخ.. ثم إن ثلة من الحاقدين أحيوا هذه الدار بمعونة الشيخ النجدي (الشيطان)، وجمعوا فيها ما ورثوه من أسلافهم من شبهات، وأضافوا إليها ما أفرزه حقدهم وبغضهم لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم..
ثم راحوا ينثرون هذه الشبهات في ساحة الحرية، في بلد من البلاد الأوروبية.. لكنهم ووجهوا برجل حكيم عاقل يعرف كيف يجيب على الشبهات بعلمه وأدبه وأخلاقه العالية، فلا يملك أحد الرد عليه أو مواجهته.. وهكذا يرجع كل مثير لأي شبهة من الشبهات خائبا كسيرا إلى أصحابه في دار الندوة.
وعندما يعجزون عن المواجهة العلمية يلجؤون إلى المواجهة بالخداع والمكر والحيلة..
هذه باختصار أحداث هذه الرواية الحوارية.. والتي تجيب على الشبهات الكثيرة التي أثيرت حول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم من منطلقات مختلفة، ابتداء بالمنطلقات التي يسلم بها الخصم، ويؤمن بها.
