بتعبير آخر إنه حقل معرفي من نوع المدى المتوسط لأنه يوصل المدى البعيد بالقريب، أعني يولج الدراسات الجزئية (السلوك الفردي، الأسرة، الجماعة الإجتماعية، الجريمة، الجنوح) بأنساق البناء الإجتماعي (الدراسات الكلية) ويولج الأنساق البنائية بالمشكلات والمعضلات الجزئية.
بتعبير آخر، إنه ينسج الأحداث ولا يقطعها عن بعضها وهذه حالة بنائه ترقي علم الإجتماع لمستويات أرحب بذات الوقت إنه مغذي للنظرية الإجتماعية والأكاديمية العلمية والتفكير الصرف بنتائج يكتشفها ويعثر عليها في دراساته الميدانية الرائدة ويسّوق علم الإجتماع ونظرياته لحقول معرفية لم يتعامل معها ولم يتعاملوا معه سابقاً مثل أصحاب القرار خارج الجامعة والهندسة والطبيب ورجال الأمن والشرطة وأعضاء المجالس البلدية والأحزاب السياسية والمنظمات العالمية والنسوية.
