تعد النظرية السوسيولوجية من الدراسات والمجالات التي أعطى لها علماء الإجتماع والمتخصصين فيها المزيد من الوقت والجهد العلمي، إيماناً منهم بأهمية قضية التنظير في علم الإجتماع، وما يثار حولها من نقاط للإلتقاء والتباين والإختلاف العلمي والفكري والأيديولوجي بصورة مستمرة.
كما تظهر قيمة النظرية السوسيولوجية، بإعتبارها الموجه العلمي للباحثين عند إجراء دراساتهم وتحليلاتهم النظرية المجردة أو الميدانية في نفس الوقت.
وإنطلاقاً مما سبق، جاء إهتمامي الأول، وضع هذا الكتاب عن النظرية السوسيولوجية، بعد دراسة هذا المجال لأكثر من خمسة وعشرين عاماً، قضية مع معظمها في دراسة العديد من التخصصات العلمية في مجال علم الإجتماع المختلفة.
مما جعلني أتناول هذا العمل (النظرية السوسيولوجية) بشيء يتلافى العديد من الصعوبات التي تكتنف عملية دراسة وفهم النظرية السوسيولوجية، سواءاً من جانب الطلاب في مرحلة البكالوريوس، وطلاب الدراسات العليا في جامعات إقليم كوردستان - العراق، خاصة بعد أن قمت بتأليف كتاب آخر حول نفس العمل عام (2012) باللغة الكوردية.
كما أن مهمة إعداد مؤلف في مجال النظرية السوسيولوجية الكلاسيكية والمعاصرة ليست بالبساطة والمهمة السهلة التي يتصورها بعض الباحثين والمهتمين في هذا المجال، نظراً لما يتطلبه هذا العمل من الإلمام الواع والمتعمق بكل جوانب تراث النظرية السوسيولوجية.
هذا إلى جانب ضرورة توفر القدرة المتميزة لبعض الباحثين على إستيعاب عناصر التراث النظري من خلال نظرية شمولية وتحليلية متعمقة، فضلاً عن القدرة على تصنيف الإتجاهات النظرية المتباينة، ومحاولة المقارنة بينها، ثم تحليلها في إطار واحد متكامل.
