تناول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب مضامين الشجرة المباركة (النخلة سيدة الشجر) التي كانت مصدر الغذاء الرئيسي للآباء والأجداد ولا تزال فمنها أكلوا، وأكلت أنعامهم، ومنها شيدوا منزلهم ومنها صنعوا أكثر مستلزماتهم المنزلية وإحتياجاتهم في مختلف مجالاتهم العلمية؛ لذلك أعطاها حقها من الإهتمام، لتعيش مع أجيالنا القادمة فتية معطاءة ولتعيش مستقبلنا كما عاشت ماضينا وقد سطر في كتابه الأول تصنيع التمور ومنتجات النخلة السليلوزية كل ما له علاقة في موضوع تصنيع التمور من الأبحاث العلمية وكذلك تصنيع أجزاء النخلة الأخرى، وفي كتابه الثاني فقد شمل التمور إنتاج الحلويات والمعجنات.
أما في كتابه الثالث فقد تطرق إلى دور التقنية الحيوية المايكروبية والتمور ومدى الإستفادة من هذه التقنيات الجديدة وخصوصاً وأن التمور مادة أولية تصلح الكثير من الصناعات المايكروبيولوجية ومن أجل إنتاج الكثير من المواد المهمة للبشرية وأهمها إنتاج العقاقير الطبية.
ومن أجل زيادة المعرفة بهذه الشجرة، جمع المؤلف كل ما هو جديد من معلومات رصينة والتي خرج بها الباحثون من خلال السنين العشر الأخير حول زراعة وخدمة النخيل والتي كانت بلا شك كثيرة وذات أهمية لا بد للقارئ العربي الإطلاع عليها وجمعها في مرجع متخصص.
