يتوجه الكتاب لكل الأساتذة المتدربين والممارسين، وكل الواقفين على مهنة التكوين تدريسا وتأطيرا، فرصة الاستفادة من التصورات والأفكار الهامة التي يقدمها، ومن هنا تنبع أهمية هذه الدراسة في الساحة التربوية والثقافية، لما تقدمه من جدة، ولكونها نتيجة تجربة عارف خبير في الميدان التربوي، يبحث في النواقص التي تشوب مراجع التكوين ويحاول تدَاركها يقول :"لا تتضمن مراجع التكوين أي إشارة لما ينبغي أن يكون عليه الخطاب، وكيف ينبغي أن يكون، مع العلم أنه أساس كل العلاقات التربوية... بالتنبيه لما يجب أن نتجاوزه في مدارسنا التربوية مثل"عنف الخطاب"، لأن بلاغة الخطاب هي سر نجاح المدرس "وما نراه من رقي الشعوب والحضارات فسببه الخطاب" كما يقول الكاتب، مؤكدا على ضرورة امتلاك المدرس للضمير المهني واستحضار عظم المسؤولية الملقاة على عاتقه ، مرسلاً رسائل صريحة جد مهمة،و مستدلاً بالحجة والبرهان، فقارئ كتاب صحائف التكوين يلمس روح الخطاب الرباني التي تسمو وترتقي بالمقام التربوي إلى معارج التعلم والتعليم البهي، الحاضرة بقوة في كل فصول هذه الدراسة التربوية .
يتألف كتاب" صحائف التكوين" من مقدمات مكثفة ومختزلة طرح فيها الكاتب سبعة أسئلة مؤطرة للدراسة : (عن النموذج و المهنية و المقصدية والمرجع والخطاب وسؤال تحطيم النماذج وواقعية النموذج المقترح)، وتوزعت الإجابة عن الإشكالات المطروحة عبر خمسة صحائف: (المهمات والمتمات والمكملات والمعمات والملمات)، وقد أشار الكاتب إلى أن تقسيم هذه الصحائف شكلي/إجرائي لا غير ،لأنه قد تبدو بعض المتمات مهمات وغير ذلك حسب زوايا النظر أو حسب حاجيات الأستاذ المتدرب.
وقد اختار المؤلف لقارئه في نهاية الكتاب ملحقا للفائدة ضمنه بعض المختارات والمقترحات الوجيهة لإدارة القسم ،مقتبسة من كتاب جوني ينغ بعد أن أضاف لها بعض التكميلات،وأنهى الكاتب دراسته بخاتمة مفتوحة تطرق فيها إلى قوة اللغة العربية مستقبلا وأهمية العلم بها وتعليمها عالميا .
