في هذا الكتاب يستعرض المؤلف أحداث الحرم المكي في 1/ محرم 1400هـ والملابسات التي رافقتها والتي لا زالت مبهمة عند كثيرين، ومن ثم يقدم عرضاً جلياً للجانب الأهم، ونعني به التربة التي أثبتت حركة جهيمان العتيبي ومن بعدها حركة ابن لادن والحركات الأخرى الشبيهة.
إنه الجانب التاريخي لهذه التربة، ويبين الخلل الشديد فيها الذي سيظل يولد بلا إنقطاع حركات لا يعرف أحد إلى ما سترسو عليه، وإذا كان للتربة التاريخية (تربة الماضي) دورها إلى هذا الحد فإن التربة الحاضرة تكاد تكون هي تلك في مواضع، بل هي في مواضع أخرى أشد خطراً، فهل سيستمر هذا كله إلى أن ينهار الهيكل ومن ثم يطال المجتمع برمته فيُدَمّر؟...
يبقى السؤال الأهم: نحن، هل نمتلك جرأة التعامل مع هذه المأساة قبل فوات الأوان؟! ألا تكفي الحالة التي نحن فيها لمن يود أن يبصر؟.
نأمل أن نبصر وأن نتوقف عن قسر أنفسنا على العيش في مطارح التاريخ الغابرة وأن ننتقل من دائرة الأبصار إلى دائرة الفعل.
