إنّ الخوض في محيط الأنساب أمرٌ متشعّب المسالك والطرقات، لذا بحثت في بطون كتب التاريخ الّتي تطرّقت إلى القبائل والعشائر في الأردنّ وفلسطين وما حولهما من الأقطار العربيّة، وقلّبت المئات من الصفحات في كثير من الموارد الّتي أتيح لي الوقوف عليها، ليخرج هذا السفر شاملاً الحدّ الأعلى والأوفى من القبائل والعشائر في الأردنّ وفلسطين، وما تألّف منها وما تحالف معها وانضمّ إليها، وما تفرّع عنها، وإذ أعتذر عن أيّ نقصٍ أو إضافةٍ بالخطأ أو زيادة لا ضرورة لها، فإنّي أهيب بكلّ من هو مهتمّ، ويرى أنّ من واجبه إبراز المعلومة الصحيحة، أن يبادر فيزوّدني بما عنده، مقدّراً له حرصه وإنتماءه الّذي هو إنتماء إلى الأرض والوطن والإنسان والأمّة.
لقد حاولت جهدي تجنّب المزالق والتحيّز والمبالغات لكي يكون هذا السفر خاليّاً من التملّق والتزلّف لهذه القبيلة أو تلك العشيرة، فهذا القاموس يُعنى بأصول القبائل والعشائر ومنابتها ودياراتها ومنازلها ومساكنها، ولا يُعنى بغاراتها وأيّامها، وليس بخافٍ على أحد الدور العظيم الّذي لعبته هذه القبائل والعشائر في الذود عن حياض الوطن من مشرقه إلى مغربه، ومن جنوبه إلى شماله، لتثبيت سيادته ومكانته الّتي نفاخر بها الدنيا، فكم تصدّت هذه القبائل والعشائر ووقفت في مواجهة أنواع الإستعمار الّذي حاول الإستيلاء على البلاد ومقدّراتها.
ولقد كان للتحالفات القبليّة والعشائريّة أثرها العظيم في المحافظة على الأمن والإستقرار في هذا البلد الأمين؛ أما بعض العشائر، الّتي لم لها شيئاً من المراجع، فقد دوّنت أسماءها فقط، بإنتظار من يهمّه الأمر، أن يوافيني بما لديه من الوثائق والمعلومات لتدوينها في الطبعة الثالثة إن شاء الله.
