مستشار في دائرة الارشاد والانباء.
ولد بحلب، وفيها تلقى تعليمه.
عمل في بيروت محرراً لمجلة «المكشوف»، وأصدر مع عمر فاخوري ورئيف خوري مجلة «الطريق»، وتولى رئاسة تحريرها من 1941- 1947، ثم تولى إدارة مكتب دار الهلال المصرية ومراسلة صحفها، ثم عمل مديراً للمكتب الصحفي في رئاسة الأركان السورية، وعاد بعدها ليصدر مجلة «الحرية»، ثم ليؤسس دار نشر باسم «دار الكاتب العربي».
له العديد من المؤلفات، منها: ـ أبو ذر الغفاري: أول ثائر في الإسلام.
ـ جمال الدين الأفغاني: حكيم الشرق.
ـ أشهر المحاكمات في التاريخ.
ـ محمد عبده: بطل الثورة الفكرية في الإسلام.

في هذا الكتاب يستعرض "قدري قلعجي" محطات من تجربته الذاتية مع الحزب الشيوعي وبدايات انضمامه إلى الحزب في الفترة ما قبل وبعد الاستقلال في أربعيننات القرن المنصرم.
وفي هذا السياق يتحدث عن رفاق الدرب وعملهم الحزبي ونضالهم من أجل مبادئهم وهم: عمر فاخوري، يوسف يزبك، رئيف خوري، كامل عياد، وانطوان تابت وآخرون. كانوا يملكون روح متوهجة، متحمسة هكذا يصفهم الكاتب "... مضيا في كفاحنا في مجلة "الطريق" و"لجنة مكافحة النازية والفاسشتية" نكتب ونخطب وننتقل من مدينة إلى مدينة ومن قرية إلى قرية ولم تكن المبادئ الشيوعية هي التي تغرينا بقدر ما كان تمسكنا بالتعاليم الديمقراطية.
