الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا رحلة طيبة عفوية "كنفس كاتبة" في رياض معرفة الله تعالى، يبحر فيه المؤلف تدفعه روح محلقة تسمو إلى الإيمان، وحرقة في غيرةٍ، على جيل الإنسان القادم، يدهوه إلى جنة معرفة الله تعالى، لتضع هذه النفس المطمئنة، عبودية، وسلوكاً قديماً، لتتجسد الروح المؤمنة حقيقة لا يأتيها الباطل، رسالة إلى الإنسانية بأن السلام المنشود، والأمان المأمول لا تصنعه مدافع، ودبابات، وصواريخ، شهوات الدنيا، بل تصنعه نفس آمنت بربها حق الإيمان، وعاشت متدبرة لصفاته، تربية لسلوكها، ونوراً لدربها، نشيدها: "إن صلاتي ونسكي ومحياي ومماتي لله رب العالمين وحده لا شريك له وبذلك أمرت وأنا من أول المسلمين".
وبالعودة إلى فهرس هذا الكتاب نجد أنه جاء متضمناً على خمسة فصول تناولت المواضيع التالية: الفصل الأول: رحلة البحث عن الخالق، الفصل الثاني: الإنسان في القراء الكريم، قصة الخلافة، عداوة الشيطان، الإنسان كما وصفه الله تعالى في القرآن الكريم. الفصل الثالث: أسماء الله الحسنى، وهنا تم تحدث المؤلف عن مفهوم الاسم المقدس، مصادر الأسماء الحسنة، عددها، أنواعها، دلالاتها.
الفصل الرابع: الاسم الرباني وأثره في السلوك الإنساني. الفصل الخامس: الأسماء التوقيفية، وهنا حاول المؤلف أن يشرح معنى التوقيف، وبيان الأسماء الإلهية غير الأسماء التسعة والتسعين التي اشتهرت في رواية أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ولقد اعتمد في كل ذلك على أهم المصادر التراثية الإسلامية.
