أي هوية للفن التشكيلي العربي المعاصر ؟
لعل صياغة السؤال تغني عن جزء هام من الإجابة ، إذ أن تحديد صفة الفن التشكيلي موضوع البحث بالعربي يحدد المعلم الرئيس لهويته . لكن إشكالية حقيقية تبرز مع تعرض الهوية العربية ذاتها إلى حملات تشكيك وافتراء في السنوات الأخيرة ، مما يفرض ضرورة العودة إلى الجذور ، تأكيداً لهوية الأمة ، وبالتالي هوية الثقافة المنبثقة عنها ، ومن ثم هوية فنها التشكيلي الملتصقة بالهوية الثقافية . نشير هنا إلى الإختزال التوفيقي الذي اعتمده المؤتمر الدولي للسياسات الثقافية عندما عرّف الثقافة - من بين نحو مائة وستون تعريفاً لها باللغة الإنجليزية - بأنها :" مجموع السمات الروحية والمادية والفكرية التي تميز مجتمعاً بعينه ، أو فئة إجتماعية بذاتها ، وتشمل الفنون والآداب وأنماط الحياة والإنتاج الإقتصادي . وسواء راعينا تصنيف روبرت ماكيفر (Robert Maciver ) في كتابه ( الدولة العصرية ) عندما حدد موقع الفن فيما بين المدنية والحضارة بقوله : " تتمثل المدنية في السياسة والإقتصادي والتكنولوجيا ، بينما تتمثل الحضارة في الفنون والآداب والديانات والأخلاق ... المدنية هي ما نستعمل ، أما الحضارة فهي ما نحن عليه .. " أو اعتمدنا تعريف توماس مان القائل : " الحضارة هي الروح العميقة للمجتمع ، والمدنية هي الآلية الصماء .. وحافظنا على إدراج الفنون ضمن الحضارة ، فإن الفنون متغلغلة ومتجذرة في حياة المجتمعات والأفراد اليومية حيث تشكل واقعاً راسخاً يتجاوز تباين التعريفات والتصنيفات . إنها جزء من تراث الأمة الذي هو مرآة حضارتها ونسغ جذورها والدفق المستمر المتجدد لإبداع أجيالنا عبر العصور . بهذا الفهم يجدر بنا بدء البحث في مسألة هوية التشكيل العربي المعاصر .
