هذا كتاب "شمس ألأخبار، المنتقى من أحاديث النبي المختار"، كتاب شمل فيما شمل معظم ما يحتاج إليه الطالب ويطمئن إليه الراغب من أحاديث الترغيب والترهيب وما يتعلق بذلك، انتقاه المؤلف من كتب الأحاديث والروايات من النصوص الجلية والصريحة.
غير أن المؤلف اكتفى بالرمز إلى سند من أخرج الحديث وأحال الباحث إلى المراجع التي أخذ منها، المرموز إليها بحرف من حروف كلمتها. كما اكتفى بإخراج الحديث من كتب أهل البيت وشيعتهم الزيدية، ولم يستظهر على ذلك بمن أخرج الحديث من المحدثين من غيرهم.
وقد نبه المؤلف على ما حصل من نسبة عدد يسير من الأحاديث إلى الضعيف وأوضح ما تقرر عنده كما هو مبين في مواضعه. كما هو شأن علماء الزيدية وجرياً على سنن أئمتهم الأعلام.
