بين أيدينا الكتاب الثالث من سلسلة كتب (تصاميم النعم الصينية) المترجمة عن الأصل الإنكليزي Designs of Chinese Blessings-LONGEVTTY "العمر الطويل". جاء الكتاب باللغتين العربية والصينية وهو من تأليف هوانغ كوانكسين وترجمة رفيف كامل غدار.
يشير طول العمر إلى الصحة الجيدة والحياة الطويلة. وكما قال زهاونغز Zhuongzhou، وكما هو مدوّن في كتاب الأغاني، إن طول العمر هو الأمنية الشاملة للجنس البشري. ورد في مقطع شعري قديم أن اختبار حياة طويلة معاً هو تجربة بهيجة.
يحتوي هذا الكتاب على رسومات الحظ الجيد المتعلقة بطول العمر: عالياً في السماء تلمع نجمة طول العمر، وعِش لتبلغ ألف سنة ويصبح شعرك أبيض، وقدم الدرّاق المسطّح Flotpeoch تمنياً لطول العمر، وغير ذلك.
يعكس الكتاب فكرة العمر المديد في الثقافة الصينية القديمة. وحيث اعتبر قدماء الصينيين أنّ عُمر مئة سنة عُمرٌ مديد، وأن عمر ثمانين سنة عُمرٌ متوسط، وعمر ستين سنة عُمرٌ قصير. من بين النِّعَم الخمس، يُعتبَر العمر الطويل النِّعمة الأهمّ. بما أنّ عُمرَ السبعين كان نادراً في الأزمان القديمة، فقد كان المرء محظوظاً جداً إذا بلغ المئة عام. وفي حين أن الشباب والشابات يقيمون حفلات لذكرى الميلاد، إلا أنّ أولئك الذين تخطّوا الخمسين أو الستين من عمرهم يحتفلون بالعمر الطويل.
يبقى أن نشير أن "تصاميم النعم الصينية" هي عبارة عن مجموعة من رسومات الحظ الجيد الموزعة على خمسة كتب: حسن الطالع، الراتب العالي والمهنة الجيدة، السعادة والثروة، والعمر الطويل. يحتوي كل كتاب على 595 رسمة موزعة بالتساوي على الأقسام الخمسة (119 في كل قسم)، ليقدم تمثيلاً كاملاً لأوجه رسومات الحظ الجيد الصينية التقليدية.
