إن الصداقة هي علاقة وثيقة بين شخصين أو أكثر، علاقة متبادلة وإنسجام كامل في المشاعر والأحاسيس، وهي قيمة إنسانية أخلاقية ودينية عظيمة، معانيها سامية تسمو بها الحياة، وبفقدانها يولد الإكتئاب والتوتر، وأحياناً كثيرة تسبب الوحدة المشاكل الصحيّة والنفسيّة.
وقد وضع الشرع الإسلامي صفات محددة للصداقة الحقيقية التي يمكن الإعتماد عليها، كما أشار إلى ذلك مؤلّف هذا الكرّاس سماحة آية الله الفقيه الشيخ محمد صادق محمد الكرباسي دام ظله، حيث وضع سماحته أحكام الصداقة بحسب الشريعة الإسلامية، في خمس وسبعين مسألة إبتداءً من معنى الصداقة، إلى إستحباب الصداقة، إلى صفات الصديق، وختاماً بإستحباب الدعاء للأصدقاء، مروراً بأحكام من يكره مصادقتهم، وأحكام التعامل بين الأصدقاء، إلى الأمور التي يتوجب على الصديق فعلها والأمور التي يحرم عليه فعلها تجاه صديقه، إلى كراهة الجفاء بين الأصدقاء ومجانبة أهل السوء، وغير ذلك من أحكام.
