كتاب حوى عشرة آثار، من ضمنها تسعة أحاديث مرفوعة عن ثمانية من الصحابة، مروية من طرق سبعة من أشياخ السماع بداريا اتصل بهم المؤلف، عن ستة من أشياخ أشياخه، رواها عن خمسة من الأشياخ ممن أُخذ عنهم بالسماع بأربعة أسماء من طرق ثلاثة ممن روى بداريا، وأشياخه فيها اثنان من أنواع المذاهب، حنابلة وحنفي في مكان واحد، وهو ضريح أبي مسلم الخولاني. والكتاب يعنى بداريا من خلال تلخيصه لكتاب ((تاريخ داريا)) الذي ألفه القاضي ابن مهنا الخولاني، فانتقى من أحاديثه المسندة المرفوعة، وبعضاً من الآثار فأثبتها فيه. ثم أتبعها بفصل ذكر فيه من نزل داريا من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم والتابعين والعلماء. ثم ختم جزأه هذا بذكر عشرة أحاديث مسندة، تتصل بداريا من حيث رواتها أو روايتها في داريا، وبذلك ينتهي الجزء. والجزء يعدُّ من تراث ابن طولون الذي ظل حبيس الرفوف سنين طويلة حتى حسب كثير من المؤلفين والمحققين لتراثه أنه في عداد المفقود، إلى أن جاء محققه، فحققه وعلق عليه، وأخرجه إلى عالم القراءة؛ ليكون زاداً سهل المنال، جليَّ النفع، جمَّ الفوائد لمن أراد أن يطَّلع على ما ورد في قرية داريا الدمشقية من أحاديث وآثار، وكل ذلك بطريقة علمية دقيقة.
