الحارث بن حلزة بن مكروه بن يزيد اليشكري الوائلي
• شاعر جاهلي، من أهل بادية العراق. وهو أحد أصحاب المعلقات.
• كان أبرص فخورا، ارتجل معلقته بين يدي عمرو بن هند الملك، بالحيرة، ومطلعها: (آذنتنا ببينها أسماء) جمع بها كثيرا من أخبار العرب ووقائعهم.
• وفي الأمثال (أفخر من الحارث بن حلزة) إشارة إلى إكثاره من الفخر في معلقته هذه.
• له (ديوان شعر -ط) (1).

Book Description
في هذا الكتاب يقدم الكاتب طلال حرب قراءة في شعر "الحارث بن حلزة" وشعر قبيلة بكر وأخبار من حرب البسوس.
يبدأ الكتاب بالتعريف بالشاعر وعصره وشعره: هو الحارث بن حلزة بن بديد... بن معد بن عدنان بن أدد. ويكنى أبا ظليم، من عظماء قبيلة بكر بن وائل، كان شديد الفخر بقومه حتى ضرب به المثل فقيل: "أفخر من الحارث بن حلزة"، ولا نقع على أخبار عنه باستثناء الخبر تلتصل بإلقاء قصيدته التي صارت إحدى المعلقات عاش نحو 150 سنة، وتوفي سنة 570م.
اعتبر المؤلف أن لشعر الحارث قيمة تاريخية إذ يطلعنا على كثير من المعارك التي دارت بين القبائل العربية، ومعارك بكر ومعارك تغلب عامة والمعارك التي خسرتها خاصة. فيذكر من هذه الأيام ما جرى بين تغلب وتميم... وقد عد الأصمعي الحارص بن حلزة من الفحول وعدة ابن سلام من الطبقة السادسة التي تضم عمرة بن كلثوم وعنترة بن شداد.
إلى ذلك يتطرق المؤلف إلى شعر الحارث المبثوث في بطون كالمفضليات والحيوان والأمالي وغيرها من بطون الكتب الأدبية واللغوية التي اهتم بها المستشرقون وترجموها إلى لغاتهم لأهميتها. بعد ذلك أخبار عن "بكر بن وائل" قبيلة الشاعر وارتباط دورها بأحداث تاريخية في الجاهلية والإسلام، إلى آخر ذلك من أخبار "حرب البسوس" وأسبابها وأهم المصادر التاريخية التي كتبت عنها وأخيراً عرض لمعلقة الحارث بن حلزة ومناسبة كل قصيدة مع شرح الألفاظ والمعاني...
