ندعوك إلى الانضمام إلينا في هذه الرِّحلة لكي تكتشف بنفسك السَّبب الَّذي جَعَلنا عاجزين عن مقاومة روعة كلمات الرَّبِّ يسوع، ولكي تَرى بأُمِّ عينَيْك السَّبب الَّذي جَعَلنا نكتشف أنَّ بساطة الإنجيل المُفْرِحة تُحَرِّر الإنسان وتمنحه قوَّةً في آنٍ واحد.
وأنا أدعوك مِن خلال هذا الكتاب إلى الاستماع إلى قصص أُناسٍ آخرين سَلكوا في هذا الدَّرب قبلنا. والحقيقة هي أنَّ حياة هؤلاء واختباراتهم تَفُوق بكثير -في قوَّتها وتأثيرها- حياتنا واختباراتنا. وهذا يُذَكِّرني بكلمات شكسبير التَّالية: "إنَّ مَن ينطقون بكلماتٍ مَجبولةٍ بالألم هُم أشخاصٌ يقولون الحقيقة!" وأنا على يقينٍ بأنَّك لن تبقى على حالك بعد سماع شهادات الكنيسة الباكِرَة وقصص شُهداء الأنابابتست (مُعيْدِي المَعموديَّة) Anabaptist.
ليسَتْ غايتي -مِن تأليف هذا الكتاب- إضافةَ كتابٍ جديد إلى قائمة الكُتُب الَّتي تتحدَّث عن عقيدة "اللَّامُقاومة". بل إنَّ شوق قلبي هو أنْ أشارك معك، عزيزي القارئ، بعض أفكاري وصراعاتي خلال رحلة البحث عن الحَقِّ الَّذي نعتنقه الآن بكامل حُرِّيَّتنا. فقد قال يسوع إنَّنا إنْ اسْتَحَيْنا به وبكلامه، فإنَّه سيَسْتَحي بنا في اليوم الأخير. وما أرجوه في هذا الكتاب هو أنْ أتمكَّن مِن تشجيع كُلِّ قارئٍ على تكريس نفسه للرَّبِّ أكثر مِن أيِّ وقتٍ مَضى مِن خلال سَماع كلمته الحيَّة وتنفيذ مشيئته المُباركة! فكُلُّ ما نحتاج إليه في هذه الحياة يَكْمُن فيه هو. وطُوبى للَّذي يَجِدُهُ!
