للأدب في حياة الأمم أهميته الكبرى، ولا يخفى أن الأدب الإسلامي يتعرض للكثير من المخاطر الداخلية والخارجية التي وسمها المؤلفان في بحثهما هذا بـ"الإيدز الأدبي" هذا الداء المدمر القائم على إفراغ الجسد من مناعته ومقوّماته الفيزيولوجية الطبيعية. ويمثل هذا البحث محاولة لكشف الغطاء عن واقع مرير دائر بين الانتحار الذاتي والاغتيال الخارجي.. وهذا لا يخرج عن كونه مؤامرة تكمن خلفها وتسيّرها هيئات أثبتت براعتها في إدارة الصراع والتخطيط له. وقد تخلل هذا البحث فصولاً حول المدرسة العربية الإسلامية في الأدب والنقد، لكونها الكفيل الوحيد الأوحد بإيجاد مناعة مضادة للفيروس الخبيث.
أجزم لو أن أمة أخرى تعرضت لكل هذه الطعنات التي تعرضت لها أمتنا من الداخل الخارج، من خناجر مخبأة تحت الثياب في صفوف الصلاة، وكرات نار مقذوفة بالمجانيق من بعيد بعيد، لصارت دكاً وفي خبر "كان" ولا أثراً ولا عين.
إن الاستعمار الذي استهدف حياة هذه الأمة لم يطلب فيها رأساً أو صدراً أو كعباً اقتصاراً، بل إنه ما ترك منها عضواً إلا تسلط عليه همجية الظلم والظلام، بين استعمار عسكري وجحافل جنود، وغزو ثقافي بسموم قراطيس وجلود.
ولا يخفى-فيما أعلم-أن أثر الاستعمار الثقافي أضرّ وأنكى من أثر الاستعمار العسكري. إن هذا الأخير يدخل المدن وعلى رأسه خوذته وفي يده آلات الموت والدمار فيقتل الذكران ويشرد الصبيان ويسبي النسوان، لكن المدن تموت حين يقتلها، ورؤوس أبنائها هي رؤوسهم، وألسنتهم هي هي، لكن الاستعمار الثقافي لا يفعل هذا إنه يعمد إلى الكلمة المسمومة فَيُزَيّنها ثم يرفع غطاء الجماجم ويلقيها بذرة زنيمة، فتقتل المدن نفسها بنفسها، وتموت ولا رؤوس لها، ولا ألسنة.
