تعتبر البلاغة القرآنية المعجزة ذات التأثير الذي ليس له نظير في النفوس والقلوب، من أكبر وسائل الإعلام في الإسلام ثم الحديث الشريف، وقد اعتمدت عليه جميع العصور الإسلامية بعد القرآن الكريم في الإعلام لمبادئ الإسلام والدعوة إليه، كما كانت القدوة الحسنة من جانب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وكبار الصحابة من أكبر العوامل في نشر الدين الجديد.
وقد اعتمد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى جانب ذلك على وسيلة معروفة في علم الاتصال أو الإعلام، وهي وسيلة الاتصال بنوعية الشخص والجمعي، والنوع الأخير يتمثل بوجه خاص في الخطابة، وعليها ركزت معظم جهوده صلى الله عليه وسلم في مجال الإعلام بالدعوة. ومن هنا يتبين مدى أهمية الخطابة كوسيلة إعلامية انتهجها الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم في تبليغ دعوته، وإرشاد الناس إلى الحقائق وحملهم على ما ينفعهم في عاجلهم وأجلهم لما لها من قدرة فاقة على الإقناع.
ولما كان لهذه المسألة أهميتها في العصر الحديث اتخذها "محمد إبراهيم محمد إبراهيم" محلاً لدراسته النظرية في هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا والذي يجمع فيه أحاديث الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم التي تمثل فيها الاتصال الجمعي من بعض أمهات كتب الحديث وهي: فتح الباري بشرح البخاري، صحيح مسلم بشرح النووي، سنن الترمذي، المسند للإمام أحمد بن حنبل، المعجم الكبير والمعجم الصغير للطبراني، معتنياً بتقسيمها حسب ظروف إلقائها، وتصنيفها حسب الموضوع. بعد ذلك قام بالتعليق عليها مستعيناً بالشروح الواردة في كتب الحديث، ثم تطرق إلى الجوانب الإعلامية فيها وإظهارها باعتبار الخطية أولى الوسائل الإعلامية التي أعلن بها الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم خبر دعوته، كما كانت إحدى الوسائل لتعليم المسلمين أمر دينهم.
