في كتابه "الحياة مع القرآن" يرتكز الكاتب محمد سعيد بكر على قوله تعالى: ﴿يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ﴾ [الأنفال: 24].
والغاية، تسجيل منطلقات بحثٍ وإشارات على الطريق، يفيد منها كل مهتم في ميدان التربية والتزكية القرآنية، يقول الكاتب: "... ولقد بذلتُ الوسع في إخراج ما صحَّ أو حسُن من الهدي النبوي متحاشياً الضعيف في ميدان القرآن الكريم مقصد وغاية، كان من الضرورة أن تجمع شتات كل فكرة أو أسلوب يركز على هذا الهدف السامي، فكانت رسالة (الحياة مع القرآن) منطلقاً لترشيد مسيرة الفرد والأمة نحو الخالق جل جلاله".
هذه رسالة الكتاب التي تحث على كل مسلم أن يحيا بالقرآن الكريم ولكي تصل الرسالة إلى القارئ المسلم يشرح الكاتب المعنى المراد من جملة "الحياة مع القرآن"، وهي أن الحياة مع القرآن الكريم لا بدّ أن تكون صحبة وتعايش مستمر لا تنتهي، شأنها شأن العبادة المحضة.
