على امتداد رواياته الثلاثين، تبدو أخلاقياته ومبادئه وعشقه كلها صريحة وواضحة حد الصدمة أحياناً! إنه واسع الطيف الديني، شخوصه متنوعو الطوائف يجمعها الحب والفقر والألم، كلهم يخافون إلهاً مشتركاً بمفاهيم متعددة. الله عند حنا مينة محبة وجمال، يقول: لم تكن صورة الله لتختلف في ذهني عن صورة الأم، كان طيباً مثلها، رقيقاً، شفافياً، نورانياً".
عالم المرأة عند حنا مينا غني ويفهمه بكل تفاصيله الحياتية. تعاطف معها بكافة مهامها البيولوجية والإجتماعية (الأم، الشقيقة، الإبنة، الزوجة، الصديقة، والعشيقة)، واستطاع أن يعطيها حقها الإنساني.
في رواياته لم يقحم مفاهيمه إقحاماً، ولم يمارس دكتاتورية، بل ترك شخصياته تتصرف من وحي الظروف الإجتماعية والظرف الزماني والمكاني.
كتابي هذا ليس مديحاً بل هكذا قرأت حنا مينة، لست ناقدة أدبية، بالمعنى المهني للكلمة، ولا أريد أن أكون! فأنا قارئة محترفة، أخضع لمقاييس ثقافية اكتسبتها مع الزمن من بيئتي ومطالعاتي ولقاءاتي بالشرائح الثقافية المتنوعة.
