غير أن هذا الإهتمام بفعل القراءة سيشهد، كما يجمع المختصون، بحلول القرن العشرين إنعطافاً كبيراً، ويحقق طفرة لم يشهد لها العالم من قبل مثيلاً، حيث أخضع الفعل ذاته للنظر المكثف وغداً موضوعاً أثيراً للتأمل.
