يستشرف هذا الكتاب آفاق الشعر العربي في مطلع الألفية الثالثة؛ فقد شهدت القصيدة العربية تحولات بنيوية، على مستوى الشكل والدلالة وفلسفة الكتابة وهواجس الإبداع، طرحت اسئلة على المستوى المقابل، المتعلق بالقراءة والفهم والتأويل.
لقد وجه السياق الحضاري بأوجهه المختلفة: التكنولوجيا، والإتصال، والعولمة، وما بعد الحداثة، سيرورة الكتابة في أودية غريبة عجيبة، غيّر مفهوماتها ووظائفها وجمالياتها وعلاقة القارىء بها. وبعد أن تجلّت معالم الظاهرة الشعرية الجديدة، وإن نسبياً لأن الظاهرة في تحوّل مستمر، أصبح من المُلح، منهجياً وموضوعياً، قراءة هذه القصيدة وتفكيك مكوناتها ورصد مفارقاتها وتفسير رمزيتها، وتحليل بلاغتها، والإجابة عن أسئلتها.
ومن هذا المنطلق تحت معاينة خطاب الأنساق، وقصدنا به رصد أهم الأشكال التعبيرية الشعرية التي ظهرت مع بداية اللفية الثالثة، وتحكّم فيها موجّه فكري هو النمط العولمي بكل هواجسه المعرفية والإيديولوجية والبنيوية، والتي يفترض أن تنتج رؤية فكرية وجمالية تتجاوز ما ساد في ما سمّي بشعر الحداثة التي اختزلت الظاهرة الشعرية في مقولات الشعرية وجهازها المفاهيمي القائم على إقصاء الشعر من المنظومة المعرفية الكونية للأنساق، وذلك من خلال آليات قراءة أبعدتها عن المجال التداولي العربي. فهل تستطيع الألفية الثالثة أن تستوعب منطق الظاهرة الشعرية العربية الجيدة، وتمكّن من التعرّف على المحرّك المعرفي الذي يتحكم في الثقافة العربية ويسيّر أشكالها التعبيرية؟ ذلك هو السؤال الخفي الذي ينتظم فصول هذا الكتاب من أجل لفت الإنتباه إلى ضرورة وجود إحساس نقدي بالبعد المركب لعلاقة الشعر ببقية المعارف في ضوء الحراك الفكري الذي يوجّه الخطابات.
