في أول أيام العدوان على لبنان من قبل إسرائيل، أطلقت المقاومة في لبنان على تلك العملية اسم "الوعد الصادق"، وقد تبادر إلى ذهن مؤلف هذا الكتاب بأن "الوعد الصادق" إنما هي عبارة موجودة في القرآن الكريم، اذا ذاك، بادر إلى جمع أولاً الآيات التي تتحدث عن الوعد في حوالي 35 موضعاً في القرآن الكريم، ثم الصادق التي وجدها في ثلاثة مواضيع: سورة مريم الآية (54)، سورة الذاريات الآية (5)، وسورة غافر الآية (28)، ليقدم من ثم بتفسير تلك الآيات تفسيراً إجمالياً... مع وقوفه عن بعض الآيات، خاصة تلك الآيات المرتبطة بواقع الأمة الحالي من هيمنة أميركية وإسرائيلية، حول شرق أوسط جديد، وسكوت عربي رسمي مريب.
فجاء نتاج ذلك هذا الكتاب الذي جاء على الشكل التالي: أولاً تعريف معنى الوعد عند أهل اللغة وخاصة (مفردات الراغب الأصفهاني)، ثانياً: شرح آيات الوعد في القرآن شرحاً إجمالياً مع الوقوف حول بعض الآيات التي ترتبط مع واقع المسلمين، ثالثاً: الصدق والصادق عند أهل اللغة ووجود الصدق في القرآن الكريم، رابعاً: شرح آيات الصادق شرحاً إجمالياً مع الوقوف حول بعض الآيات، خامساً: بعض الوثائق حول العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان في تموز 2006. على أقسام ثلاثة: 1- من رد على فتاوى، 2- مقالات حول الوحدة، 3- صور عن المجازر المرتكبة من قبل إسرائيل في العدوان الأخير.
