إن المقدمة تطوي على أهمية كبيرة في الإفصاح عن منهجية الكتاب وطريقته في تحديد الرؤية التي ستتمخض عنها الكتابة النقدية، وما يمكن أن تحققه من نتائج على صعيد الفعل النقدي الإجرائي، لذا يجب أن تتحصّل المقدمة على نوع من الإستقلالية التي لا تظل فيها ملحقةً ومتعلقةً ومحسوبةً على تفاصيل المتن وضروراته، وأن تتحرى منطقاً ورؤيةً وديناميةً خاصةً تكون فيها مساحة للتعبير الحرّ عن شخصية الكاتب في كتابه، بعيداً عن ضغط المهيمنات المنهجية والأسلوبية التي حظيت بها الكتابة في المتن.
ومن هنا، يتوجب على أسلوبية المقدمة أن تتمتع بدرجة عالية من الحيوية في التعبير والخصوصية في لفت الإنتباه إلى جوهرية القضايا التي اشتغل عليها الكتاب، وتوجيه الإهتمام نحو عمق وخطورة الموضوع الذي تصدّى الكتاب لمعاينته، من دون الوقوع في أسر الدعاية التي قد تصيب القارئ بالإحباط حين يكتشف زيفها، إذ لا بدّ من مصداقية عالية في رسم معالم التصوّر الكتابي لقضايا الكتاب ومشكلاته على الصعيدين النظري والإجرائي.
