العلاماتية نظام به تقرأ العلامة نفسها، وبه تتحول إلى لغة تقرأ العالم من حولها، وهي لأنها نظام، فإنها علم في الوقت ذاته، وما كان ذلك كذلك إلا لأن كل علم هو نظام في منهجه وقوانين إشتغاله.
ولقد نقول، بناءً على هذا التصور، إن اللغة، لما كانت متعددة في أنظمتها صوتاً ونحواً ودلالة، فإنها بموجب إقتضاء تعددية الأنظمة القائمة فيها، تجعل من العلاماتية نظام الأنظمة كذلك.
وما دام منطق الكشف العلمي ينفتح بعضه على بتعض إستنتاجاً وإستدلالاً، مما يجعل العلوم بعضها أرحام بعض، فإن العلاماتية من حيث هي نظام تستطيع أن تبني الظواهر، ومن حيث هي لغة تستطيع أن تحول الظواهر إلى علامات تقرأ أنظمتها التي بها تكون، وتعيد بها إبداع ما يمكن أن يكون.
ولقد يجعل هذا منها، أيضاً وأخيراً، علم العلوم، أي يجعل منها العلم الذي تستطيع به العلوم أن تقرأ الظواهر التي تشكل موادها، كما تستطيع به أن تستنبط القوانين التي تكون هذه المواد وتعيد بها من ثم إبداع ما يمكن أن يكون.
وفي هذا الكتاب، يسعى الدكتور منذر عياشي إلى قراءة العلامة اللغوية العربية وذلك في قسمين وفق ما يلي: القسم الأول: "من الكلمة إلى العلامة قراءة في أفكار سوسير العلاماتية"، "العلامة بوصفها نسقاً صوتياً ووظيفة"، القسم الثاني: "العلاماتية والتعدد بين القراءة دلالة والنسبية نحواً"، "النسق والنموذج الفعل العلاماتي والحذف".
